See below re recording. I think I prefer this to Bug. It isn't trying to be MTV friendly. The more shambolic-sounding approach offers a relaxed, raw energy not present in the follow-up. I can imagine them shuffling into the studio at 3pm, hungover, smoking, with no real pressure to perform.
