I was at the soundcheck of Nirvana's first ever UK gig, Newcastle Riverside. Dave Grohl was doing the usual drum soundcheck thing, banging one at a time. I told him his kit sounded flat as a fart. He laughed and didn't kill me.
I've got shelves full of CDs and vinyl, but only ever seem to plug in my iPod and play random mp3s. Well, no more. I'm going through every item on the shelves, in order, in their entirety. No cheating. What am I doing? Oh shit. The horror!
In case you were wondering, I'm working from home a lot, so have the time to listen to stuff. This isn't a full time occupation...
NEW FEATURE - download my old crimes against the senses
Deadbeat - Roots and Wire (nice pace for my gym cardio)
Thought I'd try the latest Kings of Leon, instead of just banging on about the first album being the best and how they're all serious and po-faced now. Not that bad, actually.

Nice one!! what were you doing at their soundcheck? if it was work related then you have a fine job.
Foo Fighters are dull, the first 2 album were OK then zzzzz! bar the odd single ofcourse.
I was just hanging out. I virtually lived at the Riverside at the time.
