Amon Düül II - Yeti

Mantra 010. 1970

My mate NF was having a CD clearout, and this was amongst the stuff I nabbed. I'm glad I did. I'm not a big 'prog' fan, but this has a rawness about it that grabbed me instantly.

I played 'Archangel Thunderbird' to a couple of the guys in Lumpsucker, a local band at the time. They did an impromptu interpretation at a gig next day and asked me to get up and do some improv, wig-out guitar soloing over it. It was great.

Highlight: Archangel Thunderbird
