Rescued from the review box of Get Rhythm magazine (RIP).
Much better. Back to form. His voice seems to have changed a bit on this, reminding me in places of a less gruff and strained Chuck Graning (Scarce). There's some great slide guitar work, and real songs without the quirky shit that ruined the album below.
I could listen to California all day.
