Julian Cope - Beautiful Love ep

Island CID483. 1991

I'm quite selective when it comes to JC. He does a huge amount of shite, but does pull off the odd gem. This isn't really one of them, but it's ok.

Title track is a chirpy upbeat pop ditty. Second track, Port of Saints, appears from the sleeve notes to be a dig at Bill Drummond and Dave Balfe, which I can't condone as BD is a top nice chap, and I can't imagine him ripping anyone off.

A not-completely-shit remix of title track. Finished off with a crap, nowt-nor-summat lo-fi track that shouldn't exist.
