Projectile Afterbirth - Hats Off To Larry 7" (Test Pressing)

Fellatio Production FP001 (test press). 1993

A work of musical genius. Well, it is me after all.

Recorded in around two hours with NF, this is three 'interpretations' of the Wild Man Fischer tunes Miss Jennifer Jones is lying dead on my porch, Merry-Go-Round and Which way did the freaks go? The first two are mostly screeching feeback and electronic noise, the third more of a cut-up sound collage. I like it, but I am a little biased. I believe it sold 1000 copies, but we never saw any money from it.

We recorded a follow-up, The rise and fall of the fourth banana, which was Banarama cover versions. It was never released. We even got as far as having the sleeves printed (a lovely affair, with a swastika made from bananas superimposed on a portrait of Hitler (the fourth member of Bananarama), and an inside collage of the four members all decked out in nazi outfits. I'd just got to grips with photoshop, obviously. I sent them off to Scotland for the production and never saw them again. I don't have a copy of the artwork either. Thanks Dave. Much appreciated.

We also recorded a 75 minute album (Fuck Mollusc) to follow these up, under the name Spoonfed Venusian Sex Organs. I still listen to all of these on occasion to remind myself I used to be creative and motivated. What happened?
